Optimiser les opérations en radiothérapie et en oncologie médicale au CHUM.
The problem

The Centre hospitalier de l'Université de Montréal (CHUM), a supra-regional hospital, is one of the largest providers in Canada and sees nearly 500,000 patients a year. The cancer center has 45 infusion chairs and 8 radiation treatment machines. Like many cancer centers, the CHUM is facing major challenges:

  • labor shortage

  • growing treatments complexity,

  • increasing patient volumes

  • administrative burden

  • inefficient coordination of care trajectories

  • maxed out capacity and increasing patient delays

The solution

GrayOS is deployed across the radiation oncology and the medical oncology departments in order to optimize, automate, and orchestrate the operations.

Key results:

  • $0.5M saved each year

  • 80% reduced administrative burden

  • 50% reduced time to train new clerk

  • Increased staff satisfaction

“The time savings have been enormous. When you can reinvest this much time in caring for patients, it’s a big deal."
